Jimmie, though living a slightly better life, still has it tough. Subhi is missing the resources but has a loving and caring family. Jimmie has the resources but does not live a loving life with her dad, who is still grieving, and mostly ignoring Jimmie and Jonah. It uses emotive language and the true reality of the world in detention centres. This book cleverly sends the message and reality of living in poverty through an (even though fictional) heartwarming story making us, the readers, attached to the characters. BEAUTIFUL!!!!! 10/10
