Ntokozo-Mbali Mabaso

The best film I’ve watched this year. Maybe ever!!! I even had to come write a review… and I never do that. The animation styles (plural) and graphics are what brought me back. The first movie was the first time I’ve EVER seen this type of animation style. In this sequel, they have somehow done a better job… you feel the emotions through the colors and textures within the style alone! The storyline really carried the movie this time round. That idea of finding your place and where you fit in life is something EVERYONE can relate to, and such a strong foundation to base a whole 2hr film on. And all the small nuances and references to all the spidermen in the spider verse and the links between them all, is enough to make any Marvelite or True Believers geek out… This movie is absolute Genius… The cast!!!! Can we talk about the heavy weight cast!?!?! (SNATCH MY WIG!!!) what an amazing cast. This is honestly the perfect amalgamation of storyline + animation + soundtrack + casting + pop culture + different cultures. Everyone is represented. Everyone can feel like Spiderman. .Arg… brilliant movie… BRILLIANT!!!
