I struggled to get into this book. I found it wasn't until about chapter 40 that the story became more interesting. For the first part of the book, it was almost an exact copy of The Hunger Games, with the only difference being the powers the characters have. The ending had a twist I didn't see coming, however I don't think the twist was worth the wait and felt it was lacking something. I give this book a 3 for the fact that it's written pretty well and that it got a bit better towards the end.

If I could rate this a 4.5 exactly, I would! When I started this, I was new to reading regularly. I absolutely LOVED it! I couldn't put it down. It's a great book for beginners as it's not too long, but boy is it full of mystery the whole way through! There were so many moments where I literally said out loud "no way!". Be prepared for one of the best Fiction books I've ever read. I can't wait to read the next in the series, The Housemaids Secret
