This was a great movie and I liked it a lot, but definitely a warning to anyone not knowing what they're getting into, this movie is dark, grotesque, brutal, and downright horrific at times. There are many elements that are difficult and unnerving to watch. I would not recommend this movie for young kids or anyone particularly sensitive to the mistreatment of animals or children. From the fleshy space station to the weaponized animal amalgams created by Orgocorp and the cruelty the corporation displayed, there are many themes and scenes that are not appropriate for everyone. The language and violence ramp up quite a bit and there are many more adult themes to this movie. The music and comedic relief were good and necessary considering the darkness of the rest of the movie.

The movie as a whole was good. I enjoyed a lot about the movie and it hit a lot harder emotionally than the 1st movie did. With the good, does come the bad. Recycled villain with the strange Tarzan son arc wasn't really necessary. The army avatars going through the Na'vi warrior rites was odd and a little distracting. The casual conversations with the whale creatures was not needed. With all that being sad, the 1st movie is better overall, but I enjoyed this one more. I enjoyed the environmental and tribal immersion from this one and honestly it didn't even need a villain arc to be good.
