This show has withstood the test of time. Many people thought that Jack Lord was a little too wooden for the part of McCarren, but who else could play the part? Rock solid scripts, many that play well even today. The remake tried to be too hip and lost the essence of the show. I thought season 6 was the pinnacle but everyone has their favorite. Simply the best cop show to date.
