It's a fantastic Bowie surprise LP offering. It was meant to be a surprise release by Bowie in 2001 but record company interference said to 'shelve it.' It's a wonderful update of Bowie's earlier recordings by his touring band led by by Mark Plati.

This is an amazing album about a dystopian future. David had disbanded the Spiders and worked on this album with minimal help. David played guitar and in interviews David admitted he came up with the riff for Rebel Rebel and other slashing crashing distorted riffs that appear on this album. Also of note is the cover depicting David with the body of a dog. A great album evoking many moods and his distinctive voice.
