Someone close gifted it to me after i lost my grandmother in a tragic way.. they read the book before giving to me to know that it won't trigger me much.. this book is the most special book to me because grief is something so personal yet so shared.. when you face grief it feels like you are the only one who ever felt so bad and helpless but the reality is ... There is no person in this world who hasn't lost someone dear to them. The book captures the essence of grief in a very raw yet true way.. it took me months to complete it because the book is so real at making you come face to face with your loss that i was crying after every two pages and didn't have the strength to read it at points.. but when i completed it.. i was transformed.. i was a new person because that grief was eating me alive and reading something so relatable just made me feel like I'm not alone in this.. and that one day we all have to move on and that moving on does not mean you forget them it just means you don't cry each time you think of them.. its an amazing book.. must read.. 11/10.. the writing is beautiful.. the concept is beautiful.. the book although will leave u a lil confused about how was Sam able to talk to Julie.. or if it was real or just hee way of dealing with grief but still maybe thats the beauty of it that it gives you an empty space to beleive in what u want to.. so yes must read.
