I feel that it fell considerably short compared to the other two. The characters behavior was inconsistent and did a disservice to the charm and love for love the other two movies portrayed. There were too many situations that were set in motion just to create an ending that nobody who fell in the love with the earlier movies wanted. It made me sad and ruined the other two movies for me. In a year or so I'll watch I and II and try to pretend that III never happened. :(
