Okay. So I love Hans Zimmer. Extremely talented. Yada yada. Couldn't do what he does if I had a million years to figure it out.
So now that's out of the way...
The concert at Scotiabank arena....
We were on the 300 mezzanine.
Let's start off with the amount of laser like lighting pointed directly at the audience for 89% of the show was absolutely not necessary and extremely uncomfortable....we covered our eyes with our hands people !!!
I can't speak for the rest of the audience but our entire floor were wearing sunglasses and had their eyes shut the entire show.
I wish I was guilty of hyperbole.
I am not.
The entire show was a laser packed, weird sounding offset music with long drawn out electronica. I could barely recognize the songs.
Call me old fashion but I enjoy the classical rich tones of the music he plays.
I was not expecting this.
I thought we were going to see a full orchestra with beautiful songs reminiscent of our favourite movies....this was not the case at all. Dare I say it was borderline ritualistic of the satanic variety.
My daughter and I had a very difficult time enjoying the show. I'm sorry for the bad review. But I spent alot of money for a huge letdown. To top it off the drunk people behind us kicked drinks onto is and were screaming at the top of their lungs the entire show. It was obnoxious and to any concert goers....please be mindful of your surroundings. They were the only ones screaming...the show did not even warrant that amount of volume of screaming...please don't be rude.
I will stand by my one star rating. This was not good. At all.
We left during interstellar..... INTERSTELLAR!!!!
Money back please.
Re: also to the dickhead replying to my review
....it was my experience. Take it or leave it. I know Hans Zimmer well because I've watched movies before. I've heard his pieces. The concert was awful. But you look lowbrow enough to enjoy a light show. Simpleton.
