Very pleased along with my two kids - 4 and 6. Great character arc for Garfield that I think speaks to today's younger generation who can be pampered and easily kept safe/entertained by fear-ridden parents. A good lesson for me as the parent as I fall into this trap as well. The movie reminded me to help my kids have adventures and grow strong rather than simply stay safe. Find things/people worth risking for. Loved that the film focused on Garfield's father and adoptive father. Strong/caring male role models. Mixed family dynamics with harmony, selfless care focused on what's best for the child. Great lessons and positive message for the whole family, especially mixed families. Great fun as well.
