Bloated. Very Bloated. The theatrical version was too long as it was... this is far more bloated. While it’s definitely different, overall it’s just a darker, unfunnier movie than before, but the overall same story. Does it live up to the hype? No. Snyder just proves he’s not able to keep the pace going on extended cuts. I think it should have stayed an urban legend. Worth watching once, but I prefer the Joss Whedon version, personally. Neither are perfect, but I like enjoying films, not drowning in someone else’s angst.
