Draconic Chaos

One of the best mainline entries in the series thus far. Leagues better than trashborne, that's for damn sure!

More content than SwSh, better visuals than SwSh, actual difficulty unlike SwSh, good mechanics unlike SwSh, *but* there are a few downsides. The postgame needed to include more of the platinum content and the horribly designed EXP share is still here, but other than that, these are far better than SwSh could ever be!

Easily the best in the series. Since Ultimate is more or less an expansion off Generations, I'll treat this as if I'm reviewing both in the same package. Several weapons gained much needed balance changes and tweaks along with an entire system of hunter styles, enabling each weapon to take on vastly different playstyles than before, cutting down heavily on the monotony which can sometimes plague the previous games. As for the roster of monsters, not only are there several popular monsters from each generation, but some even have powerful variants called deviants which drastically spice up the gameplay while changing entire movesets of monsters! And what's more to add on top? This game even allows you to play as a palico, allowing you to take a more direct support role when playing with others! It's also worth noting, due to the overwhelming number of unique monsters, this game has far more armor and weapon diversity than World could ever hope to achieve!
