My dad became disabled when I was in 3rd grade (1981). One of the doctors who used to visit my dad at home also knew Isaac Asimov and noticed that my dad had all the books (written by that time). Issac Asimov signed all of my dad's paperback books over time. Although the books were always in my house, I only noticed them once they started to be signed by the author. I have been a fan of the series since then, and although this TV series takes some liberties, I still love it.
