I watch all types of movies all the time I just love movies and I appreciate even the movies that aren’t that great but atleast they have a story you can follow and make sense of. This movie was absolutely atrocious! The plot was so all over the place that it actually makes you angry at how chaotic and stupid the story line is. The whole time in the movie theater I debated walking out which I should’ve but I thought maybe in the end the story line will come together and give the audience Some type of closure as to why the film even meant but nope the ending was so bad and made zero sense just like the rest of the movie . The story jumped from two scientist going on a hike to find some resources for a disease to see if they can cure it and then it turned into a cult movie where two other characters believed you could communicate with the trees so they tried to sacrifice the other scientists which just made no sense. They didn’t even give a good back story to the folklore they talked about and never even showed the creature they worshiped from the stories so you don’t even know what type of genre this movie is. In the beginning of the film they show you a seizure warning just Incase you are sensitive to flashing lights. The flashing lights made my eyes hurt so bad that after the movie I felt blinded. And the noises were like horrific screeches I felt abused by this movie in every way. Both physically and mentally. It did nothing but hurt my eyes and ears and hurt my brain from trying to figure out this horrendous plot. This movie should be used as a torture device by the military because if this was used as torture against me id confess to whatever they wanted me to confess to because that’s how bad this movie is! This movie should pay you to see it that’s how much it sucked.
