This is a beautifully illustrated children's book clearly designed to promote the islands of Sanibel and Captiva, which is not a bad idea really. If children read about this place they might want to go there some day and children grow up to drive cars and spend money. Heck, I wanna go there myself!
The entire text of the book is written in what I am going to call iambic pentameter. Bear in mind that I am not much of a poetryphile so might be dead wrong in this. There seems to be a rhyme and meter involved so it reads much like a Dr. Seuss book, but with real creatures that exist in the real world. Most likely young children will love it.
All in all, not a bad effort
