Went 2 + (or was it 3?) years without our fav. show, ‘Project Runway’ Imagine our—my husband and my—excitement when we found ‘Making the Cut’ Heidi! Tim! No Nina Garcia? But the Tim and Heidi clips more than made up for the lack of Nina. We gave the show a chance. Started out even better than the original. Established designers and no longer a sewing competition. 5 stars baby! The cast was fantastic. Naomi Campbell was fantastic. The locations were amazing!! What could possibly bring the show down? Well, don’t get your hopes set on a silly concept of the best designer actually winning. The most mediocre (not to mention annoying) recycler of famous designers makes it to the finals leaving much better designers in his “I’m here. I’m queer. Feel sorry for me!” wake. Why would this show have an average of 3.2 stars with Heidi, Tim, Naomi, a great cast and a fantastic production? Don’t know, but I guess anything can end up with a rating 2 points higher than it deserves.
