Such a great game that started a whole new genre. I can't wait for the expansion.

All the 1 star reviews I read mention the same issue: bosses are hard. Not near-impossible like these reviews claim, but you do need to ask yourself, after a few attempts, "what do I need to do differently to beat it?". Indeed, during boss fights, you have to learn to dodge and hit, and I can see how some feel discouraged. That being said, I wouldn't give this game a perfect score, as I think several aspects could be more polished with a difficulty that is more even between the mobs and the bosses, but it is a solid action and customization game, albeit a bit pricey.

Edit: I suspect most of the positive reviews are fake. Quite a disappointing game. Doesn't have the spark of earlier FF titles. Isn't polished, as though Square Enix knows that FF fans will buy a new FF game now matter what. The gameplay is terribly boring with no difficulty whatsoever. The game is as linear as it gets, with a plot that's hard to follow and terms thrown in without a proper introduction. Shallow uninteresting and underdeveloped mechanics. Overall, 0/5. Can only recommend against. Not to mention that to get the whole experience requires buying DLCs as well.

It starts funny and interesting, but quickly devolves into a boring, exaggerated and underwhelming plot. It also goes to show one shouldn't trust Rotten Tomatoes scores: it has a 100% score there (or 75% is counting audience scores instead), but definitely doesn't live up to that score.

Loved it. Captivating from beginning to end.

Great movie that embodies very well the spirit of DnD.

Bug free, great graphics, but repetitive overly simple gameplay.

I expected so much more based on the reviews. Not worth a watch imo.
