What the hell. Does anyone remember Rambo. It was a solid reference to the post-Vietnam plight felt by returning troops. This is such a departure. Anyone who views the gratuitously realistic graphic nature of this film as being representative of true warfare must also appreciate it’s juxtaposition in a superhero who can defeat it with a bow and arrow and a 50 cal. That’s awful. If you want to paint the atrocities of war in a picture, you do a worse service by cheapening it.
