This is the most boring remake of the book. Beautiful scenes and Bill Nighy and Miranda Hart add some light relief but otherwise it is tedious and too long and the intermittent folk music is awful and the candle-lit scenes hard to see and dialogue hard to understand in the beginning and terminally dull. Can’t believe I shelled out £30 for two tickets. Worst movie I have been to in a long long time. And there was the nosebleed....
