Average 3 stars: I gave it 4 stars for what it tried to accomplish in its outside the box storytelling and socio-political themes. I also gave it 2 stars because the American cinema goer cant take this on in one sitting, coppola should have intuited this. And would be better suited for a series on some streaming site and layed out over the course of 1-2 seasons. Maybe yet to come... But, hats off to coppola for trying to go there.... alas our attention span has grown weak with tik tok and youtube shorts.

This is about Basketball, and not about basketball. Some people reviewed this get more caught up in the hollywood hype of Marbury being the bad guy and want that drama. This is told more from the perspective of what is going on within a family and less about the media frenzy. The cultural piece about china is good and why Marbury chose Beijing over a hostile NYC crowd.
