I am a black woman and I've watched this movie and it was very upsetting. The way this woman was treated was unbelievable. This woman does not have to justify herself to the world of how she feels like she wants to be identified. In our society today people can decide whether they want to be female or male. So if this is the case why do this lady have to justify herself because she identified herself as African American. In some places men who identify themselves as female are now allowed to go into the female restroom . Everybody was so focused on her identify herself as African American that they missed a lot of why this may have happened. This woman had a terrible childhood. Her parents who which adopted African-American children abused them. How many white people do you know but actually go out there and educate themselves on the black history just so that they can help the children. Then she went out and did good for the black community. Now I have a question for all the church going people. If God was here would he be mad at her for identifying herself as an African American or when he would be proud of the accomplishments she did for the African American community. Another question, what would Jesus do? Another thing is another one should understand this woman has black children. So she will have to worry about the same thing a black parent would have to when it comes to their children. An example what did they do to the white people who tried to help the slaves? What did they do to the white people who helped fight with the black people in the 60s? We need to be very careful of the stones we throw.
