This show is everything a Batman prequel should be. Everything from the cast to the storyline to the city itself feels like a true Batman story. The show presents charming, over-the-top performances with insane storylines and cheesy dialogue and it just feels perfect for this kind of story. The show takes a while to find its niche, with the first season being more of a gritty detective show centering around Jim Gordon. But it quickly finds its footing with more eccentric characters and stories and gives us what I believe is a perfect Batman prequel
