Shenah Park

I found this when I was scanning in the library for a book to read and instantly fell in love with this after the first page. The style of writing was incredible and detailed, and it kept my attention till the very end. The only problem I may have with it is that the story does not seem to be very engaging and I sometimes find myself forgetting some of these characters. Also, can someone explain who are the beings watching the protagonist's sister?
