One of my favorite among the books of Nicholas Sparks. I love how the beautiful romance story unfold. I seriously fell in love with the character of the bachelor Taylor McAden, a volunteer fireman, who rescue Kyle, the lost 5 year old son of Denise Holten. Every detailed of care which was naturally showed by Taylor to Kyle, eventually makes Denise fell in love with her.The sudden twist seems to occur as Taylor realized that he is starting to be happy.For years, Taylor felt guilty of what happen when he was 9 years old.With the turn of the next events, the story ends in forgiving the past and giving a chance to start the happy life with a family on the side.

A really worthwhile reading book. I love how the timid widow sheriff, Miles develop relation with Sarah. And how Sarah had filled in in the life of Miles and his son Jonah. It is page turning in the revelation of the person responsible for the death of Missy unfold. There are always mind speculating part, being undetermined on what would happen next, so one will just keep on reading. It has an amazing ending that make one understand of letting go of the past and giving oneself the chance to make the most of what the present offers. Overall, it was a beautiful masterpiece.
