Elijah Swanson

It is based off of a book so I can't really blame them but the dialogue is by far the worst dialogue I have ever seen in any TV show. It is straight unbearable and Clarke chooses the most moral emotionally based actions as a leader but it works out because of her insanely thick plot armor. The average conversations are never casual or normal, its always leading into the plot. This may sound good but after you watch it you start to realize that its either comic relief or something to do with adding to the plot which usually results in it sounding disingenuous or awkward as there is rarely a casual conversation. Every character in this is completely lacking logic or braincells and it is just a pain to watch. I was brought into watching this by the series of good reviews but after it turned out that the great female leaders that were promised ended up being whiny, pretentious, and invincible by all means, the show hurt to watch. Do not watch after S4E13.

Subpar acting. The wife isn’t cut for marriage and feels like the antagonist just because of how whiney she is the poor acting also factors in this. Half of this show is crying and I am barely exaggerating, I get it’s supposed to focus on grief but the shows length would be halted if you took out the crying scenes. Judy’s story throughout this is entertaining enough to keep me watching though so it’s wort about a 2

The story is good and makes sense, that’s all I can give it. The whole premise of the family being poor is impossible to become immersed in when the family lives downtown. There is no way I could comprehend them being as poor as they make it out to be when their house is in the wealthier area of Sacramento. The ending scene of the Kings basketball team has a background of a recent construction which completely ruins the ending for me, also the fact that there are a straight 3 scenes that are maybe a 1 minute walk from each other in total is despicable. This being the kings painting, the lights by the blood source, and an alleyway behind the hot Italian (to the side if you’re being specific) Movie itself was watchable but completely unable to be immersed as someone living in Sacramento and seeing such huge flaws in the movie.
