It's a shame that Akshay sir missed out on most of the key elements of the movie 1.Cast - The original had a comedian cast for comic relief, this one did not except one. 2. Story - The original although not a masterpiece, but dwelled deeply in the transgenders story of an underdog and those around him, Laxmii feels rushed to achieve the deadine and misses out on most of the character defining moments such as one where the main character gets possesed by the ghost for the first time. 3. The original was no masterpiece but it a rewatchable fun experience while Laxmii just feels like a lame attempt to bank on the similarities with the original. In short - A major disappointment. Akshay sir, you are a comedy legend and no hero can do it better then you. Please don't ruin your comedy streak with mediocre remakes and keep brewing out comedy golden eggs like Hera-Pheri, De dana dan etc.
