It was a bit confusing to grasp exactly what was going on at first, as I wasn't going to try to make any assumptions and end up with them being dead wrong. However, once I started to get it, it really tugged at my heartstrings. It really hit me when Maria pulled Nico out of his wheelchair into a hug; his eyes looked totally soulless. Cerebral palsy is tough to deal with, and it's sad that Nico lost his battle with it. I love how, even though her friends kept telling her to not make Nico's problems her business, she still cared for him until the bitter end. She's such a sweet friend and an example for everyone. Even when his disability made him unreceptive, she still stuck it through. Now she's what I call a "good egg"! I just wish the subbed version was easier to watch.
