Ellie and Elmer :D

I am in awe of the performances in this movie. The one thing I struggle with, and it facts irritates me, is that I never learn if he in fact has tried everything. For me to leave my daughter would need to mean that I had to choose between her dying or me. I just could not make that equation work. A dad leaving his daughter. Sorry, does not work for me. The message is pretty obvious and strong and the movie is great. Just that part is hard for me to get.
