The show was pretty funny. Mull I would characterize as ultra glib. Willard played the great part of a no talent butt kisser hoping to hold on and replace Mull, but always saying weirdly inappropriate things. I would suggest that maybe David Letterman's show could have been modeled after Fernwood, and Mull probably would have agreed but the host of Fernwood was actually funny.
