Elin's "Summer of '69" caught my eye just like Bryan Adams's single.
This page-turning YA novel is a fantastic casual summer read filled with secrets, coming-of-age, and the rise of a hero.
I fell in love with the characters represented in this book! I fought for them, felt their dismay, their jealously, ferocity , and passion. Elin was immensely accurate to the place and events with this historical fiction. She brings life to characters that I couldn't wait to draw either.
If you want to go back in time and relive through a mother's love, a sister's activism, and the coming-of a war hero, this book is certainly for you! I can't wait to read this over and over for the future summers.
