I wasn't worth the $30. The writing was bad, the jokes and moments were cringey, this is suppose to be a tribal/ancient movie, but they used words like "nerd" or "group projects" that scenario threw me out the loop, the way they talked about the moral of the story was literally dragged through the whole movie. I just feel like, if they were really trying to represent a culture (filipino/south east asian) they could've done it better like Mulan (animation). The story was also really fast pace, and I couldn't feel any emotion towards any of the characters, they felt under developed, like they were the same from the beginning and end. The story just felt a little disappointing because everything was solved easily, the way the movie was hyped up only to feel like it was watered down. It's not a disney movie to me, it's just some animated story. And disney use to cover serious topics. Cinderella with not everyone comes from a good family, mulan and how you can be a strong woman, princess and the frog always go for your dreams and never stop, the humpback was bullied because of how he looked, Inside out being about a child who struggles with depression and how our emotions matter and not being happy all the time is okay, Monsters inc about learning how to say goodbye to loved ones, Tarzen is about chosen family, Coco was about loving ones even when they're gone and to never forget them but honor them, as well as friendship and betrayal. The only good thing I liked about it was the ending, because it was cute. Spoiler: The movie was literally about two chicks who made a mistake and blame the other. ._. (Raya) "Hey! I just met you. Let me show you this gem that everyone's fighting for." (Nan) "Okay! You can trust me, I'm from an assassination clan but you can totally trust me." (Raya) *Gets backstabbed* -Later- (Nan) "I brought the gem. You can trust me." (Raya) "I don't trust you." (Nan) "Okay." *Goes home and finds mom turned into stone, get angry at Raya.* (Even though they both wanted the same thing and Nan could've sided with Raya.) *They fight*
