Disappointing. Superb acting by Olivia Coleman but no character that I could find empathy for. I had the same reaction to
the main characters in The English Patient. In that case there were the adorable young nurse and her Pakistani lover. In Lost
Daughter, lots of apprehension not resolved, some pathological mothering, horrible kidnapping of the doll…Aw shucks!
