Bitterly disappointing! I couldn’t sit through it and left half way through. Having never seen the stage show I’m afraid this has put me off for life. I found it confusing, disturbing and unpleasant. I have no idea why they thought dancing edible cockroaches would pair well with mice in a side cabaret show for Revel Wilson’s character. I thought Memories was butchered and the sight of the grande dame Judy Dench rolling on her back in a fat kitty fur with her leg in the air sent me scuttling for fresh air and sanity. The reviews appear to be love or hate and I’m afraid for me this movie missed the mark by a wide wide mile.
