This motion picture, while elaborately filmed, makes many of the same mistakes as most movies do in presenting cinematic versions of extremely successful stage prooductions - it tries to elaborate on the oriiginal and make it "better", when, in fact, no "improvement" is needed, and actually takes away from what the makers started with. The picture's trampering with the ending of the story does nothing to enhance the viewer's enjoyment of the tale, and actually tends to take away much of the sense of vague ambiguity and uncertainty with the playgoer is left at the end of the original. As the old saying goes: if it ain't broke, dont "fix" it!
