I still load this game up on computer emulators. Its relatively pretty for its age, especially if you use anti-aliasing w the emulation software, and this is still one of the only games that has horses that move correctly. You still to this day can not beat the in depth breeding and pedigree system. I've yet to find a horse racing game since that makes each horse feel so individual and interesting to ride. The newer "Champion Jockey," in my opinion, ruined the series and is absolutely nothing like Gallop Racer 2006.
