Just watched "Only the Brave" and I remember this June 2013 tragedy vividly, both as a member of the public and who had my godson/nephew on a Hot Shot Crew back then (for several seasons). Put some gray hairs on my head. Yet nothing close to the sorrow of those families who lost their men on the Granite Mountain Hot Shot crew. I was shrieking No, over and over again when the film got to the scene of the fire bearing down on them as they thew themselves into their safety sacks. Bless those brave wild-land firefighters forever, and their families too. Firefighters put it on the line for us over and over and over. Bless them all.
