This movie is one of those light and family-oriented movies with a bit of romance, drama and action sprinkled on top of it but is marketed as a primarily a mystery movie. I kinda liked the blend of it but for those people who did not liked the way it was mixed, I understand for it has a different tone and vibe from the "Holmes" we loved and, I guess expected. The way the plot was made was not that deep unlike in the other Holmes's film or TV show; where you really bust out your brain cells to know what happens next and why and how things happened. But the movie sufficed in making me entertained all throughout. I appreciate the love interest but I thought that his story lacked a bit of depth. Even though one of the subplot was mainly about his life. Nonetheless, I'd recommend it for others to watch, most especially my family. I'd even sit down and watch it again with them.
