Except for the overdone choral music at the end, it was a powerful, truthful story about black "citizens" in this country, how many are treated, and the bigotry that is rampant among many of us.

I haven't seen the series on television, but I have read the Italian translated books and now have curiosity to see the stories on film. The children's interactions with each other, verbally rather than visually, are wonderful and realistic. Even in translated Italian they are stellar.

wonderful depiction of a man with obvious mental problems who nonetheless embarks on the truth to find the murderer of a young boy.
