Great cartoon if you're interested in nostalgia. Nowadays, people are nostalgic for the 1970s / 80s, which was roughly 40 years ago. This cartoon was made in the late 1930s, which is 40 years before the late 1970s but it takes place in the 1890s, which is 40 years before the 1930s. I find the 1890s fascinating. I find what the people of the 1930s thought about the 1890s fascinating and I really like the parlour music used throughout the entire comedy melodrama. Underrated cartoon in my opinion.
