Editing this after three months. This looks like a rip off off 'The Night Of' also streaming on hotstar,at least the first episode is fairly identical. Hope the original turns out to be a better fare. As for the adaptation, it could have been lot better. The entire jail sequences have no bearing on the case , just serving as a parallel track with no motive. Minus these, the series could have been more taut , finishing in 6 or 7 episodes. The final judgement itself is contradictory. How can the accused be not guilty of criminal assault and yet guilty of murder? He should have been either guilty of both charges or not guilty of both charges. Of the cast, Pankaj Tripathi outstanding. The rest are just about OK.

This movie seems to be a loose adaptation of the brilliant 1992 comedy My Cousin Vinny staring the inimitable Joe Pesci. Very well made , definitely worth watching.

Seems like a remake of Simba starring Ranveer Singh. Simba was a mediocre movie. This is no better. 2/5

If one leaves aside the comparison with the spanish original, The Invisible Guest( streaming on Netflix), the movie has all the elements to keep the viewer riveted.AB is outstanding as always and TP as the murder accused essays her role fluently and effortlessly. Amrita Singh is brilliant in her key role of the mother of a missing son. Overall a very delectable fare. My rating will be 4/5.
