I never watch Tamil serials avidly but one day I accidentally saw when my mother was watching and I watch it every day now. I even went on Hotstar and caught up on all the previous episodes.
Bharathi's character is so good. He's funny but also very serious at times. I think a lot of us like this serial mainly for him, because he's not a passive character but instead leads the story. His love for Kannamma only is the highlight. Kannamma is so gorgeous. She's very innocent but also mature sometimes. I want to see her change everyone around her for the better. It's a really beautiful story so far. Unlike Sembaruthi on Zee Tamil, the hero is a man. He went and married her instead of hiding his wife or marriage. Interested to see how Kannamma will face her challenges with Barathi by her side. Please use this serial to teach the people how important it is for a husband to stand up for his wife.
A kind request to the creative heads of this team: Please don't make it a silly drama where the mother-in-law tortures her by poisoning her or continuously plotting to kill her or something stupid. Make it more believable by creating situations where Barathi stands up for her and slowly makes her stand up for herself. I don't know what the Telugu version is like, but please don't hesitate to introduce new twists instead of copying it completely.
And don't unnecessarily drag the serial too. Like Barathi says after his marriage to Kannamma, all their struggles was to finally reach the day when Soundarya herself backs up Kannamma and makes her a wholehearted family member. It will be a good ending point. Saravanan Meenakshi was ruined when they decided to introduce the next generation. Finish the story when its trending amongst the audience so people remember it for a very long time and the actors can move on to new projects.
Oh and the best scene of this entire serial so far was when Barathi made a promise to Kannamma just before tying the thaali. Semma cute and romantic😍 I saw it more than ten times on Hotstar. Also absolutely loved their first date scene with that 'Kannamma madam' dialogue. Their on screen chemistry is pakka 👌
