This is surprisingly good. It's been developed so you can play in the style you prefer, everything from an aggressive gunslinger to a mild mannered collector of artifacts. The best thing is that if you so choose, you can't get shot or even bothered by players who enjoy the pandemonium approach. All the career paths are enjoyable with perhaps the exception of the moonshine role which is basically a bit of a grind interrupted by incessant law/bandit/ambush episodes. I get the idea of inviting other players to hang out at your moonshine shack but so far as I can see nobody is really into that. But the rest of the game is excellent. Plenty of side missions, stranger help outs, bounty hunting etc. Just like in single player mode. You rank up as you play, enabling things like better guns. Clothing too if that's your thing. The only thing is really like is for my character to be able to say an actual hello to NPC s. Rather that just give them a slightly limp wave.
