Poorly written. Steyne's sections are boring and repetitive. They add very little new information to the actual story. It seems her main objective was just to claim a spot in the scandal. Granted, she did conduct an impressive number of interviews before writing the book. This effort should be noted, but unfortunately, they read like high schooler's literature review.
Minnie's narrative is exciting and entertaining. It doesn't say much, but his (rather basic) cliff-hangers save this from being a 1-star rating.
The other star goes to the guts it took for those involved to publish this book. It follows in the spirit of the TRC. The truth of our past needs to be exposed as much as possible before we can move forward as a country today.
So, thank you for writing and publishing this book. I didn't enjoy the read, but I think it is a story that needs to be spread.
