I never expected much from any movie starring Elliott Gould. This movie did not even meet those minimal expectations. I found it to be an overly cute attempt at a gumshoe movie 1970's style. Sort of like an amalgam of a Humphrey Bogart wannabe, The French Connection and The Big Lebowski. It was an attempt to capitalize on Gould's inexplicable popularity at the time, and as such, was a waste of time.
