I just got this game, i first played red when it came out then silver, crystal and ruby. Since then I've not played any pokemon and thought let me get shield for switch. I havent even got to the first gym and i already hate it... Your friend is your rival? Hop? He is pathetically easy. He chooses a pokemon that you have a type advantage for.You get given 20x pokeballs and the TM Swift... The moves tell you what is effective and super effective against others.. whats the point?? The intro to this game is stupidly long and uneccessary, the game is so straight forward. Oh and EXP share/all is just readily available and cant be turned off? Man, i know im old but Pokemon Red was simple, challenging and exciting. This is just lame. For kids. The campsite idea is just horrible and uneccessary. Returning this game tomorrow, dont buy unless youre five years old and have never played a pokemon game.ever.
