The film had a lot of potential. But, it didn’t quite meet the epic standard that can usually be expected from Hanks. He made a powerful performance with little to work with. The camera movement draws your attention more than it should and the excessive CGI takes away from intimacy of the story. Overall, Hanks was really the only redeeming factor.
