An apparently simple story, fantastically packaged into a complex, enthralling and compelling adventure by skilful acting and enchanting, mysterious direction and cinematography. Exceptional soundtrack. Wonderfully dark and haunting drama. Engrossing and disturbing in equal measures. Loved it.

60’s Retro. Engaging from the outset. Stylishly gritty and beautifully set. Casting is practically perfect. The series exudes the character, panache and most of the social issues of the time. Makes the game of chess almost attractive! Loved it from the start.
