not as good as the Golden age of TNG,DS9, or even voyager for all its shortcomings. The potential is there but at this point the characters are 2 dimensional and boring. I'm either supposed to root for a Mary Sue, or an insufferable idiot. Everyone else is even flatter to the point where I can't even remember their names, let alone their bad B plot adventures. I really want to like cyborg man and green lady, but they dont do, anything. Show is bad and after 2 episodes. edit: the first few episodes were bad, and still are...but they nailed it by mid season. my god did they save this show. good job. Every character got better.

Boring and makes no sense...Its so weird, the writers obviously don't want to write Star Trek episodes with their classic look, format, and optimism then why call it Star Trek at all? Would have been a better show if they just never called it Star Trek and threw out the constrains of 50 years of lore and backstory that they never even used in the first place.
