This is the 2nd worst mortal kombat game I’ve played behind MK4. It’s hugely annoying in online kombat that somebody can rehearse just one combo string that’ll kill half your life bar. It’s not fun. It’s just annoying. MK11 was superior in gameplay in every way imo. Furthermore, the micro transactions, overpriced fatalities, and lack of content to keep the game interesting fun for continual replay is disappointing to say the least. Sucks cuz I’m a huge mk fan. I’ll continue playing it especially as they release new characters through KP, but it’s just such a disappointing gaming experience. Having said all that, the story and graphics for this Mk are what make it really shine. I am excited to play the story mode DLC when it comes out. Update: I ##*#’n hate this game. Update: online matches just continually desynchronize now so it’s almost impossible to play a full match in KL. Update 3: Sareena kameo spammers are the devil. What an unbalanced experience. Update 4: in KL, about to level up and the game KEEPS DESYNCHRONIZING. BUT, only does this on matches I’m winning. Then, magically, when I fight somebody and lose the game has no problem adding that to my stats. IT WONT ALLOW ME TO LEVEL UP to next tier in KL. EVEN WITH A PATCH that they said would fix desync issues. What a piece of trash game. Update 5: fix the experience scaling. It’s broken a.f.

I want to preface by saying that when the original Alan wake came out back in 2010, I missed the boat on it. It wasn’t until just a year ago in 2022 that I played the remastered version on my ps5. Although that game was definitely dated, its story is riveting and I just couldn’t stop playing once I started. Enter Alan Wake 2. While the game is a visual and narrative stunner, the level design left me more frustrated than anything. Alan Wake 2 is less scary than its predecessor. I am spending a lot of time in The Dark Place as Alan Wake running around aimlessly trying to figure out where the heck to go. While I’m sure there was some intention behind this in game development, it’s missed the mark to me. More than a couple times I have found myself asking, “what now? Where do I go?” It’s bad enough the point it’s impacted my enjoyment of the game. I actually hate playing the Alan Wake segments, but I thoroughly enjoy Saga’s. So, it’s a 3/5 for me.

The game is good. Definitely worth at least a one time play through. It has its moments of immense frustration where the game almost feels like it should play as an action horror but only gives you the tools to play as a survival horror, which leads to dying multiple times over until either you just give up completely and try to run around or through enemies or after 20+ attempts you finally are able to defeat a big bad (survive the platform - total pain in the butt). Graphics are good. Character moves slow and swaps guns slow and reloads slow and heals slow - feels clunky, but all in all, it’s fun more than it is frustrating. It isn’t as scary as the devs likely were trying to make it though.

I’ve never been a COD junkie. I was grossly disappointed with Advanced Warfare didn’t think I would ever play another COD game. When WWII came out, I was intrigued, but didn’t want to shell out another $60 to be disappointed. I just bought the game at a discount for $20 and am 3/4 through the campaign and I gotta say I’m super impressed with this game. I have not played multiplayer yet and honestly, I don’t really care about mp. The campaign mode scratched the itch I was having for a great FPS. I’m so impressed with this game and had to leave a review. If you’re looking for a fantastic WWII Epic, get this game. It will not disappoint! Also, people have been complaining that the game crashes; I have not had this experience. It has run perfect on my Xbox One.
