For many people, even fans of Dan Brown, Origin was arguably the least appealing work, as they felt "cheated" by his promise of an explosive religious and scientific discovery in the book, or "being taken advantage of" by the formula and storylines that seem too familiar to Dan Brown's brand (perhaps because Brown's previous works were already too perfect to be any better?). However, as a neutral reader, neither a fan nor hater of Dan Brown, I must admit that, although there were some points that did not satisfy me in Origin, such as the act of trying to cram too much information that seems unnecessary into certain parts the book, overall this is still a very worthwhile read and has a lot of intellectual investment.
